TEEN WAS STRANGLED

{LEAD} A 16-year-old Virginia Beach high school student whose body was found in the 2200 block of Elbow Road in Chesapeake was strangled, police said Thursday.

Charity L. Boucher, of the 1900 block of Tiger Eye Court, was last seen alive March 9 at 8 p.m. when she left her home to visit a neighborhood friend. She was a junior at Salem High School and had been an honor roll student.

{REST} Police said they have identified a suspect in the girl's death, but no arrests have been made.
