JOHN W. WITKOWSKI

{LEAD} John William Witkowski, 53, of the 3000 block of Pewter Road, died June 9, 1994, in Virginia Beach General Hospital.

Mr. Witkowski was born in Cleveland, Ohio, a former Logistics Engineer with QED Systems. He was a retired Chief Petty Officer with the U.S. Navy for 20 years and a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles (NU)3204 and VFW Post 4809, Norfolk. He was a Catholic.

{REST} Survivors include his wife, Theresa A. Witkowski; three daughters, Jo Ann Witkowski of Virginia Beach, Susan Howe of Courtland, Va., and Cheryl Allen of New Bern, Tenn.; three sons, John A. Witkowski of Baltimore, Md., Raymond Rankin of Jacksonville, Fla., and David Rankin of Virginia Beach; his father, John E. Witkowski of Lehigh Acres, Fla.; two brothers, Robert Witkowski and James Witkowski, both of Ohio; and six grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday with military honors in Colonial Grove Memorial Park by Father Lamm. The family will receive friends at Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel, from 4 to 6 p.m. today where a prayer service will be held at 5:30 p.m. The family asks that donations be made to the American Heart Association. Fraternal Order of Eagles will conduct a ceremony at 4:30 today.
