LAW PROTECTS ABORTION TERRORISM

{LEAD} ``Clinic Bill counters terrorism'' (letter, May 28) is mislabeled. It should read: ``Clinic Bill protects terrorism, bans opponents.'' The fact is that there is no greater act of terrorism than to mangle the body of a totally innocent human being to death! Only when the facts are aired and the truth is accepted by those in power will our country be able to address the question of justice fairly.

There are already laws in place to prosecute anyone, including the tiny minority of pro-life rescuers who get carried away and actually harm other people or property. The vast majority of pro-life rescuers are true heroes. They see the most helpless, little members of our human family as made in the image of God.

{REST} If only everyone would understand what the abortionists understand: If a woman is unable (for any reason) to keep her first appointment to kill her baby, she most likely will think better of it and change her mind. If everyone could see the gratitude that pro-lifers see of the women who weep upon realizing how close they came to killing their own babies; if everyone could see the anguish of the women who weep because the pro-lifers were not there when they went to a clinic to abort their child, then we as a nation would still choose to protect the lives of innocent babies.

Instead we have elected people who grant immunity to abortion terrorists but imprison rescuers. The Freedom of Access law certainly will not end terrorism; it will only make it easier for the worst of its kind.
