LUCY MAE BEAMON

{LEAD} Lucy Mae Beamon, 59, of 144 E. Washington St., Suffolk, died June 10, 1994 in Suffolk.

Mrs. Beamon was born in Norfolk County. She was the daughter of Willie McWilliams of Norfolk and the late Annie Mae Boyce. She was the former spouse of the Rev. William E. Beamon Sr. of Chesapeake.

{REST} She is survived by six daughters, Katie B. Eley of Portsmouth, Bettie A. Mann of Newport News, Barbara A. Beamon of Norfolk, Priscilla Upshur of Chesapeake, Elnora Beamon of Portsmouth and Marian O. Beamon of Chesapeake; two sons, William E. Beamon Jr. of Suffolk and Robert O. Beamon of Norfolk; a sister, Elizabeth E. Battle of Waterbury, Conn.; great aunt, Cherry Stancil of Norfolk; an aunt, Emma Spruill of Boston, Mass.; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be held in Crocker Funeral Home, Suffolk, on Wednesday at 11 a.m. conducted by Brother Solomon Darden. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. Afterwards, friends may join the family at 3812 Fruitwood Court in the Peachtree area of Portsmouth.
