He was a member and deacon of Central Baptist Church, Argo, and was a member of the Civitan Club and Masonic Lodge. He was a veteran of World War II and had served as a U.S. Army master sergeant.
{REST} Survivors include his wife, Anna B. Estes, and two sons, Webb Edward Estes Jr. and Robert Mark Estes of Trussville; sisters, Virginia Sexton of Scottsdale, Ariz., Janell Culpepper of Norfolk, Va., and Ema Ames of Satsuma, Ala.; and grandchildren, Anna Marie, Chad Edward, Nichols Ivy and Caitlin Estes.
A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Ridout's Roebuck East Chapel, Birmingham, with the Rev. Ed Massey officiating. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Pinecrest Cemetery, Citronelle, Ala.
