JOHN M. CORPREW

{LEAD} John M. Corprew, 71, of the 2700 block of Markham St., died June 12, 1994.

Mr. Corprew was born in Portsmouth and was retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard after 30 years. He was a member and Usher of Ebenezer Baptist Church and was a member of the Olympian Sports Club, William H. Harrison Post (NU)190 American Legion, Club DePorres, I.C. Norcom High School Athletes, Mount Hermon Civic League and Mount Gilead Lodge of Masons (NU)102. He was Army veteran World War II.

{REST} Survivors include his wife, Margaret S. Corprew; and several cousins.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Thursday in Ebenezer Baptist Church by the Rev. Ben A. Beamer. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery. The family will be at the residence. The body will be in church at 11 a.m. Fisher Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
