MARY N. ODELL

{LEAD} Mary Ruth Nichols Odell, 84, died Tuesday, June 14, 1994, in Chesapeake General Hospital.

Mrs. Odell was a homemaker and a member of Portlock United Methodist Church. She was the daughter of the late Morris and Elizabeth Waterfield Nichols and the widow of Howard F. Odell.

{REST} Survivors include three children, Frank C. Odell of Merritt Island, Fla., Betty L. Harris and Doris O. ``Fay'' Werner, both of Chesapeake; a sister, Marion Nichols Cooper of Chesapeake; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Twiford Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, Great Bridge, with the Rev. Ellen W. Comstock officiating. Burial will follow in Good Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home and after the funeral service at the home of Mrs. Odell. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
