ELSIE B. WILLIS

{LEAD} Elsie B. Willis, 74, of the 400 block of Clearfield Ave., a homemaker, died June 13, 1994, in Chesapeake General Hospital.

Mrs. Willis was born in Currituck, N.C., and was a member of Indian Creek Baptist Church, Chesapeake.

{REST} Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Ward R. Willis; one daughter, Rosemary ``Susie'' Phelps of Chesapeake; four sons, J. Richard Willis of Virginia Beach, George Willis Jr., David ``Poncho'' Willis and Thomas ``Runt'' Willis, all of Chesapeake; one sister, Evelyn Massey of Virginia Beach; one brother, Clarence Burgess of Moyock, N.C.; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. today in Rosewood Memorial Park, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. David L. Libengood. Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel, is handling arrangements.
