ROBERT C. HOOD SR.

{LEAD} Robert ``Bob'' Clifton Hood Sr., 54, of the 3400 block of Wisecamp Court, died Monday in a Chesapeake hospital.

Mr. Hood was born in Hemphill, W.Va., and was the son of the late Robert Vincent and Minnie Lee Forester Hood. He was a salesman with Bowman Distribution and had served in the Air Force. He was the president of the Eastern Virginia Officials Association and had served as an umpire for 30 years. He was a member of the Chesapeake First Church of the Nazarene.

{REST} Survivors include his wife, Carol L. Hood; his daughters, Angela Dawn Hood of Portsmouth and Lynn Marie Davis of Boston; his sons, Kevin Wayne Hood of Portsmouth and Robert Clifton Hood Jr. of Chesapeake; his sister, Hester Creola Cantrell of Portsmouth; his brothers, Raleigh Hugh Hood and Lacy Ray Hood, both of Portsmouth; and his grandsons, Mitchell, Matthew and Scottie Davis, all of Boston.

A funeral service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in Chesapeake First Church of the Nazarene by the Rev. John Mellish, with burial following in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Oman Family Funeral Home, Great Bridge, today from 7 to 9 p.m.
