HENRY R. DUNSTON SR.

{LEAD} Henry R. Dunston Sr., 63, of the 2700 block of Whitestone Ave., a retired mechanic, died June 12, 1994, in Portsmouth General Hospital.

Mr. Dunston was born in Henderson, N.C., and was retired from the Virginia Department of Transportation with 20 years of service. He was also a retired U.S. Army (SFC) veteran with 22 years of service.

{REST} Survivors include his wife, Lauretta H. Dunston; two daughters, Cynthia A. Blanchard of Tacoma, Wash., and Helen Green of Chesapeake; three sons, Abron R. Dunston of Chesapeake, Robert L. Dunston of Portsmouth and Michael A. Harrison of New York; three sisters; three brothers; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; nieces; nephews; cousins and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Corprew Funeral Home, Portsmouth, by the Rev. Joshua Broomfield. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Portsmouth, with military honors. Viewing will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
