{LEAD} The crimes listed below were reported to the Suffolk Police Department. Because they are initial reports, they are allegations only, and may or may not have resulted in criminal charges.

DISTRICT A

{REST} Petty Larceny: 3800 block Pughsville Road, June 3, someone took a license plate from a vehicle.

Vandalism: 6100 block College Drive, June 4, a juvenile suspect broke a fence.

Vandalism: 5600 block Plummer Blvd., June 5, someone damaged the paneling in an apartment.

Vandalism: 7800 block Crittenden Road, June 8, someone damaged the window of a link-belt LS3400 loader at the Ryan Construction sand pit.

Residential Breaking and Entering: 8800 block Carters Cove Road, June 8, someone removed a house window, ransacked the house and took numerous items.

Vandalism: 5800 block Bernhowe Manor Lane, June 8, someone cut the plants in a vegetable garden, causing $150 worth of damage.

DISTRICT B

Grand Larceny: 5900 block Godwin Blvd., June 4, someone took a Sony stereo amplifier valued at $350 and a Sony AM/FM cassette car stereo valued at $350 from a vehicle.

Petty Larceny: 3600 block Pruden Blvd., June 4, someone pumped $10.01 worth of gas without paying.

Hit and Run Property Damage: U.S. Route 58 Bypass and Wilroy Road, June 4, a vehicle exiting Wilroy Road struck two guard rails. The driver got out of the vehicle and fled.

Assault - Simple: QVC Drive, June 4, a man reported that someone jumped on him, bruising his head.

Felonious Assault: 5400 block Milner Road, June 4, a suspect cut a woman on the neck.

Petty Larceny: 5700 block Hawk Lane, June 6, someone took two license plates from a vehicle.

Vandalism: 3300 block Nansemond Parkway, June 6, someone threw a beer bottle at the front of a school, causing $200 damage.

Vandalism: 2300 block Kings Fork Road, June 6, someone drove a truck through a yard, striking a Warner Swasey forklift and causing an estimated $300 damage. Related damage was estimated at $1,800.

Assault and Battery: 1000 block Litton Lane, June 7, a suspect hit a woman in the back and head.

DISTRICT C

Defrauding an Innkeeper: 1400 block North Main St., June 2, a suspect received a haircut and left without paying.

Hit and Run: 1900 block North Main St., June 2, someone struck a vehicle in a parking lot, causing $100 damage.

Vandalism: 600 block Butler Ave., June 2, someone broke the rear window of a vehicle.

House Breaking and Entering: 600 block Ashley Ave., June 2, someone broke a kitchen window and removed a window-mounted room air conditioner.

Vandalism: 700 block Dumville Ave., June 2, someone broke a car side door mirror.

Unlawful Concealment: 1400 block North Main St., June 3, a suspect concealed a dress valued at $16 beneath her clothes.

Hit and Run: North Main and West Washington streets, June 3, a 1994 Chevrolet S-10 pickup struck a Dodge Ram pickup on the rear side, causing $700 damage.

Vandalism: 400 block Wellons St., June 4, a suspect shot at a vehicle.

Grand Larceny Auto: 800 block West Washington St., June 4, a suspect took the complainant's car keys and vehicle without permission.

Robbery: On June 4, a man reported that a suspect directed him to Linden and Mason avenues where he was assaulted and his vehicle taken from him.

Vandalism: 2400 block Godwin Blvd., June 5, someone broke the passenger side window of a vehicle, causing $50 damage.

Attempted Grand Larceny Auto: 100 block North Main St., June 6, someone attempted to take a 1987 Volkswagen Jetta. Missing from the car were a Nikon camera and lens.

Hit and Run: 300 block Granby St., June 6, after a vehicle struck a fence, the driver left the scene.

Vandalism: 500 block Ashley Ave., June 7, someone tore a window screen, causing $35 damage.

Petty Larceny: 800 block West Constance Road, June 7, someone removed an inspection sticker from a vehicle and damaged the windshield.

Tamper With Vehicle: 800 block West Constance Road, June 7, someone broke into a vehicle and jammed a small piece of metal into the ignition.

Hit and Run Personal Injury: 800 block North Main St., June 7, a vehicle was struck, causing $200 damage.

Possession of Cocaine: Church Street and Western Avenue, June 7, police found a substance believed to be crack cocaine during a search.

DISTRICT D

Vandalism: 500 block Osceola Ave., June 2, someone threw two eggs at a house.

Strong-Arm Robbery: 300 block Finney Ave., June 2, a man reported that a suspect assaulted him, ripped his pants pocket out and took about $18 in cash, a set of keys and his watch.

Hit and Run Property Damage: 1200 block White Marsh Road, June 2, someone struck the passenger door of a vehicle.

Possession of Concealed Weapon: 800 block Dill Road, June 3, police found a suspect in possession of a .22-caliber handgun.

Strong-Arm Robbery: 12th Street and Freeney Avenue, June 3, a suspect grabbed a victim and took his wallet.

Vandalism: 100 block North Capital St., June 3, a suspect knocked a kitchen storm door and wooden door off its hinges during an argument.

Carjacking: Finney Avenue and Main Street, June 3, a suspect grabbed a woman from behind, held a knife to her neck and demanded her car keys. Suspects were later arrested.

Vandalism: 200 block Cullodan St., June 3, someone attempted to force open a window.

Possession of Cocaine With Intent to Distribute: 300 block Eugenia St., June 3, police found a substance believed to be cocaine during a search.

Assault: Pinner and Holladay streets, June 3, a suspect grabbed a girl and knocked her to the ground.

Assault and Battery: 2500 block East Washington St., June 3, a woman reported that a suspect hit her in the head and pulled out some of her hair.

House Breaking and Entering: 100 block North Capital St., June 4, someone broke a door window, went into a bedroom closet and took a bank bag containing $1,435 in cash.

Attempted Residential Breaking and Entering: 400 block Woodruff St., June 4, someone attempted to pry open a kitchen door.

Possession of Cocaine: County and Mill streets, June 4, police found a crack pipe during a search.

Petty Larceny: 200 block North 7th St., June 4, someone took a Panasonic AM/FM cassette stereo from a vehicle.

Petty Larceny: 200 block North 7th St., June 4, someone took a set of jumper cables and an inspection sticker from a vehicle.

Grand Larceny: 200 block York St., June 4, a woman said that someone took a Magnavox CD player from her home.

Vandalism: 300 block Baker St., June 4, a woman reported that a suspect kicked the left front quarter panel of her 1989 Nissan Stanza, leaving a large dent and foot print.

Assault and Battery: 1400 block Wilroy Road, June 5, a woman reported that a suspect struck her several times with his fist during an argument.

Vandalism: 1000 block Cogic Square, June 5, someone fired a weapon, shattering the rear windows of a vehicle and causing $300 damage.

Petty Larceny: 300 block North 5th St., June 5, a man said that a suspect took his wallet.

Vandalism: 200 block Pinner St., June 5, someone threw a brick at the passenger door of a vehicle.

Shooting at Occupied Dwelling: 300 block Holladay St., June 5, someone shot a weapon through a bedroom window.

Hit and Run: 500 block East Constance Road, June 5, a woman said she was involved in a minor accident with a Chevy pickup.

Residential Breaking and Entering: 1400 block Wilroy Road, June 5, someone entered a home and took a VCR valued at $300 and a Sanyo digital clock/radio valued at $30.

Petty Larceny: 600 block Carolina Road, June 5, someone took a 26-inch, 10-speed bicycle.

Felonious Assault: 2100 block Kentucky Ave., June 5, a man said that a suspect cut him on the left hand with a butcher knife.

Assault and Battery: 1100 block Cogic Square, June 6, a woman reported that a suspect cut her with a knife during an argument.

Vandalism: 300 block Hill St., June 6, someone broke a vent window and the ignition cover of a vehicle.

Vandalism: 2200 block East Washington St., June 6, someone fired a weapon six times through the front window of a laundry room.

Attempted Murder: 300 block Hollywood Ave., June 6, someone fired a handgun at a Virginia Power employee while he was working on a utility line.

Vandalism: 200 block Woodrow Ave., June 6, a woman reported that a suspect threw a number of bricks at her house, damaging the porch awning.

Residential Breaking and Entering: 400 block Briggs St., June 6, someone entered a home by removing a window fan, taking a 19-inch color Hitachi TV valued at $200 and a cordless telephone valued at $70.

Petty Larceny: 600 block Carolina Road, June 7, someone took $120 from a purse.

Attempted Murder: 400 block Hollywood Ave., June 7, a man reported that a juvenile suspect fired several shots at him with a handgun.

Grand Larceny: 200 block Holladay St., June 7, someone took a bulldog puppy.

Petty Larceny: 1100 block Lake Kennedy Drive, June 8, someone removed a radio from a vehicle.

Petty Larceny: 600 block Carolina Road, June 8, someone took an AM/FM radio valued at $150 from a vehicle.

Possession of Cocaine: 300 block Van Buren Ave., June 8, a smoking device containing residue believed to be cocaine was found in a purse.

DISTRICT E

Throwing Missiles at Occupied Dwelling: 570 block Greenwood Drive, June 2, someone threw a rock at a home, breaking a storm window.

Possession of Cocaine: 1500 block Holland Road, June 5, police found a substance believed to be crack cocaine during a search.

Vandalism: 7100 block Corinth Chapel Road, June 6, someone broke a window.

Vandalism: 200 block Kenyon Road, June 8, someone damaged the windshield of a vehicle.

DISTRICT F

Armed Robbery: 4200 block Whaleyville Blvd., June 4, a man was robbed of $220 cash, a JVC Portable AM/FM cassette/CD stereo valued at $175, a suitcase and clothing valued at $350.

Grand Larceny: 800 block Turlington Road, June 6, a suspect took a Christmas tree trimmer valued at $25, a brush cutter valued at $400, a six-ton jack valued at $25 and a rotor tiller valued at $25.

Felonious Assault: 600 block Carolina Road, June 7, a man reported that a suspect struck him from behind with her vehicle.

Petty Larceny: 800 block Carolina Road, June 8, someone pumped $23.28 worth of gas without paying.
