Three holdovers were picked by coaches of the district teams. The repeaters are Western Branch's Tony Thomas and Dave Walters and Great Bridge's Mike Arbogast.
{REST} Churchland placed Tommy Carter, David Tynch, Carter Chapman and Chad Quigley.
Western Branch, Great Bridge, Oscar Smith and Deep Creek each had two players selected. Wilson placed one.
The other Great Bridge player was Jason Smithdeal. Chosen from Oscar Smith were J. D. McClelland and David Turner. Deep Creek representatives were Charlie Bradshaw and Leonard Burcus. Diego Vasquez was picked from Wilson.
The team has five seniors, seven juniors and one sophomore. Tynch, a back, is the lone 10th grader.
Burcus and McClelland were second-team choices last year.
Two keepers, Oscar Smith's Turner and Churchland's Quigley, were picked. Both are juniors. Turner was credited with 69 saves. Quigley had four shutouts and allowed only three goals in district play.
Carter, a junior forward, racked up 16 goals and had five assists in pacing the Truckers. Burcus, a senior, scored 10 goals and notched 11 assists for Deep Creek.
Four of the six backs return next year. McClelland, Smithdeal and Chapman are juniors. Tynch is a sophomore. Vazquez and Bradshaw are the seniors.
The second team has six seniors, three juniors, three sophomores and a freshman. The ninth-grader is Great Bridge midfielder Justin Parker.
Top scorer on the second unit was Deep Creek forward Andy Langston with 16 goals. A junior, Langston also had seven assists.
Two other Hornets on the second team, Andre Gomez and Darryl Huskey, both scored five goals.
Western Branch placed midfielders Kenny Sloane, a sophomore who scored six goals, and senior Kyle Moore.
Also chosen from Great Bridge were back Brent Cashman and keeper Jay Pientka. Both are seniors.
Wilson placed midfielder Orion King, a sophomore who scored six goals and was credited with 12 assists.
Churchland had Patrick Joyner, a junior midfielder with nine goals and five assists, and senior Leon Platt, a midfielder with four goals and six assists.
The other second team midfielders were Oscar Smith's Matthew Harrison and Indian River's Sophan Phith. Both are seniors.
