LOUISE S. MODLIN

{LEAD} Louise Summs Modlin, 78, of the 100 block of Main St., a homemaker, died June 14, 1994, in Bertie Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Modlin was born in Bertie County, N.C., and was a member of First Baptist Church of Lewiston-Woodville.

{REST} Survivors include her husband, David Samuel Modlin; one daughter, Mildred M. Hensley of Roanoke, Va.; three sons, William E. Spencer of Tallahassee, Fla., David Joseph Modlin of Hampton, Va., and Edward Arthur Modlin of Yorktown, Va.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Hoggard Memorial Cemetery, Lewiston-Woodville, by the Rev. Robert May. The family will receive friends at Garrett Funeral Home, Ahoskie, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. The family will meet at the cemetery at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
