MINNIE H. BAKER

{LEAD} Minnie Hughes Baker, 91, of the 100 block of N.C. 45 South, died June 16, 1994, in Roanoke-Chowan Hospital.

She was a native of Bertie County and a member of the Capeharts Baptist Church.

{REST} Survivors include one daughter, Shirley B. Pierce of Ahoskie; two sons, Ledrew Baker and H.J. ``Spot'' Baker, both of Windsor; one brother, Herman Hughes of Colerain; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Capeharts Baptist Church by the Rev. Don Williams. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Walker Funeral Home, Windsor, is in charge of arrangements. Memorial gifts may be made to the Mid-Way Merry Hill Fire Department, Merry Hill, N.C. 27957.
