VERNON G. HAYDEN

{LEAD} Vernon G. Hayden, 65, died June 15, 1994, in Portsmouth.

Mr. Hayden was born in Lemars, Iowa, and was a Lutheran. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of Korea and was retired from the Navy as a 1st class radioman. He also was employed with J.D. Miles Roofing and Sheet Metal as a superintendent.

{REST} Survivors include his wife, Marjorie I. Hayden; one daughter, Kathryn S. Boehm of Macedon, N.Y.; three sons, Vernon Philip Hayden, Jeffrey Glenn Hayden and Barry Steven Hayden, all of Norfolk; two sisters, Joan Mitchells of Coarse Gold, Calif. and Sallee Christiansen of Lemars, Iowa; two brothers, Philip Hayden of Kingman, Ariz., and Gerald Hayden of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; and three grandchildren, Jeremie Boehm, Taylor Boehm and Shayla Boehm, all of Macedon, N.Y.

A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
