HOLLEMAN'S CONTRACT EXTENDED ONE YEAR

{LEAD} The Dare County Board of Education has voted to extend the contract of the system's superintendent for another year.

Dr. Leon Holleman's contract was extended following a closed-door meeting by the board Tuesday night. Holleman just completed his first year in the post, after serving as an assistant superintendent in the system. Holleman came to Dare County after serving in an administrative post in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg County schools.

Holleman was originally given a four-year contract when he was named superintendent of Dare schools. by CNB
