MARY N. JOYNES

{LEAD} Mary Nottingham Joynes, 63, of the 100 block of Hibben Road died Friday in her residence. Mrs. Joynes was a native of Birds Nest, Va. and was the daughter of Mrs. Eva Post Budd of Birds Nest and the late Milton N. Nottingham and the widow of Albert W. Joynes, Sr. She was an accountant in the Finance Department of the City of Chesapeake. She was a member and vice chairman of the Administrative Board of Oak Grove United Methodist Church, a member of the Builders Sunday School Class and the Charity Circle of the United Methodist Women. Besides her mother, she is survived by one daughter, Lynne N. Joynes of Marietta, Ga. One son, Albert W. Joynes, Jr. of Chesapeake. One sister, Charlotte N. West of Birds Nest. Two grandchildren, Aimee K. Joynes and Arthur G. Joynes both of Chesapeake.

A funeral service will be conducted Sunday at 3 P.M. in Oak Grove United Methodist Church by Rev. James W. Ward. Burial will be in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends today from 7 until 8 P.M. in the Oman Family Funeral Home, Great Bridge. The family suggests that memorials be made to the Oak Grove United Methodist Church.
