RALPH M. GLASS

{LEAD} Ralph M. Glass, 72, of the 300 block of W. 32nd St., a retired switchman, died June 15, 1994, in a local hospital.

Mr. Glass was born in Tarboro, N.C. He retired from N&W Railroad after 35 years and was a member of Christ Cathedral, C.O.G.I.C. He was the widower of Annie B. Glass.

{REST} Survivors include three daughters, Juanita G. Lee, Fozzie M. Glass, both of Norfolk, Mary F. Glass of Deep River, Conn.; two stepdaughters, Mary E. Stewart of Hampton, Va., and Amelia Gibson of Mt. Clair, Va.; a stepson, Ernest M. Stewart of Chesapeake; three sisters, Christine Knight of Orange, N.J., Mamie P. Cherry of Long Island, N.Y., and Ernestine G. Burke of Chesapeake; a brother, William L. Glass of Mississippi; 11 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at Christ Cathedral, C.O.G.I.C., 301 W. 32nd St., Norfolk, by the Rev. Tony McNair. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements. The family will assemble at 307 W. 32nd St., Norfolk.
