ROBERT E. HOWELL

{LEAD} Robert Edward Howell, 73, of the 100 block of Kenyon Road, a retired mechanic, died June 16, 1994, in Obici Hospital.

Mr. Howell was born in Holland, Va. He had retired from Planters in June 1987 after 42 years. He was a member of Bethlehem Christian Church, the Men's Taylor Progressive Sunday School class and Bethlehem Ruritan Club with perfect attendance for 40 years.

{REST} Survivors include his wife, Edna Moore Howell; two daughters, Jeannette H. Baker and Martha H. Wheeler, both of Suffolk; a sister, Margaret H. Johnson of Suffolk; two granddaughters, Jodie Baker and Kelly Wheeler and one grandson, Jason Baker, all of Suffolk.

The funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday in Bethlehem Christian Church by the Rev. E. Cecil Smith. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may join the family in Hill Funeral Home from 4 to 5:30 p.m. on Sunday and other times at the residence.
