MAMIE GLOVER CARTER

{LEAD} Mamie Glover Carter, 90, died June 20, 1994, in Obici Hospital, Suffolk.

Mrs. Carter was a native of Southampton Co. and was the widow of Lonnie M. Carter. She was the daughter of the late James R. and Rachel Hand Carter. She was a member of Sunbeam Baptist Church.

{REST} Survivors include one sister, Peggy Doris Gray of Suffolk and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Wright Funeral Home by the Rev. Kenneth Williams. The burial will be in Blackjack family cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today and at other times at the home of Luther and Mary Hyatt, 1665 Holland Road, Suffolk.
