BETTY LOU SCHWENDEMAN

Mrs. Schwendeman was born in Sioux City, Iowa. She was a Lutheran.

{REST} Survivors include her husband, Martin ``Dutch'' Schwendeman of Virginia Beach; a daughter, Sherri Bankson of Ladson, S.C.; three sons, Robert L. Schwendeman of Stafford, Va., Michael E. Schwendeman of Hampton and David A. Schwendeman of Virginia Beach; her mother, Anna J. Washburn of Sioux City, Iowa; a sister, Margaret Ann Blassl of Lincoln, Neb.; two brothers, Thomas Washburn of Midland, Texas, and William Washburn of Boonesville, Ind.; and six grandchildren.

A private funeral will be held at a later date. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, is handling arrangements.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association.
