DAYDREAM BELIEVERS

{LEAD} When everyday life proves too boring, some act out the glamour and thrills inside their heads.\ \ Without daydreams, we'd be stuck while awake with reality, a terrible thought.

Many daydream idly about careers that offer thrills, glamour, obscene wealth, or whatever. Others act on their daydreams. They hone skills, further educations, submit resumes, seek connections. They get off their duffs.

Ken Geroe, a lawyer and political leader, has applied to be Commissioner of Baseball. He'd go to games all the time.

Michele Sistrunk, a customer service representative at an insurance agency, loves to be with the fishes and longs to be a full-time underwater photographer.

If this were a perfect world for Geroe and Sistrunk, he would be king of the baseball ballparks and her photographs would sell for enough bucks that she could dive whenever she felt like it.
