EARDIE J. GREEN

{LEAD} Mrs. Eardie Johnson Green of the 1300 block of South St., died June 18, 1994, in her residence after a long illness.

She was a native of Southampton County, Va., the widow of Charles Green. She retired from the Brunswick County School System after 30 years. She was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Franklin, a former member of St. Paul's Memorial Chapel in Lawrenceville, Va., and a member of the Retired Teachers Association and Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority.

{REST} Survivors include a daughter, Dr. LaWanda G. Burwell of Baltimore, Md.; two sisters, Anna Stokes and Fannie Brown of East Orange, N.J., and Mary Alice Stith of Franklin; a brother, Linwood Johnson of Courtland, Va.; a brother-in-law, Hugh Stith; a sister-in-law, Annie Johnson; and two grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Emmanuel Episcopal Church by the Rev. Edmund Pickup. Burial will be in Southview Cemetery. William M. Johnson and Sons Funeral Home, Inc., is handling arrangements.
