MAURICE C. LAWRENCE

{LEAD} Maurice Chevalier Lawrence, 59, of the 600 block of Gardner St., died Sunday, June 19, 1994, in his residence.

Mr. Lawrence was a native of Isle of Wight County, Va. He had retired from Union Camp Corp. He was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church, Franklin, and served on the board of Deacons.

{REST} Survivors include two sisters, Willia Mae Leonard of Ossining, N.Y., and Harriett L. Edwards of Suffolk; and nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. today in Piney Grove Baptist Church by the Rev. Clarence Myrick. Burial will be in Southview Cemetery. At the request of the deceased and his family, there will be no viewing. Wm. M. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home Inc. in charge.
