In a March 30 story about a drug gang run by former Norfolk State
University football players, a law enforcement official said that university
officials called in the mother of Michael O. Porter to talk to her about her
son's drug dealing. The mother, Victoria Porter, said there was never any such
meeting with university officials or campus police. Repeated efforts to
confirm the prosecutor's statement were unsuccessful.
