KEEP EDITORIAL OPINIONS FAIR

{LEAD} I have just read another mean-spirited editorial, ``The nutrition nanny'' (June 12), which rather than just stating the facts seems a flippant commentary on the Clinton proposal.

I am neither liberal nor conservative. Opposing opinions are good. But I agree with those other people who have written to express their disappointment in your newspaper's new slant.

{REST} Please, keep the editorial opinions fair and tasteful. Certainly they will be more agreeably considered.
