WILLIAM J. KNOX SR.

{LEAD} William J. Knox, Sr., 67, of the 800 block of 35th St., a retired floor mechanic, died June 20, 1994, in DePaul Medical Center.

Mr. Knox was born in Sumter, S.C. He retired from Tidewater Floor Co. after 15 years.

{REST} Survivors include three daughters, Louise Knox of Virginia Beach, Josephine Rush of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Annette Scott of Norfolk; a son, William J. Knox, Jr. of Norfolk; three sisters, Eva Mae Johnson, Amelia Ackies and Carrie Wright, all of Brooklyn; four brothers, Leroy Wright, Andrew Wright, Oallen Wright and William Wright, all of Brooklyn; 16 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was the son of the late Charles Wright and Josephine Wright.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday at Holy Jerusalem, C.O.G.I.C. by Elder Queenie Barton. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements. The family will assemble at his residence.
