FIND OTHER TOBACCO USES

{LEAD} A number of years ago, at the Virginia State Fair, a man had an exhibit of viable alternate uses of tobacco, but he said he had not been able to interest anyone in producing and merchandising his ideas.

Perhaps now is a better time for him to come forward. Tobacco farmers need a market for their crop, smokers need a ``smoke free'' environment and tobacco processors need different products to sell.
