AUDITION FOR MTV

{LEAD} SO YOU WANNA be on MTV? You'll have your chance this weekend as a crew from ``Lip Service'' holds auditions around Hampton Roads.

``Lip Service'' is a half-hour show featuring teams competing in a dance and lip-synching competition.

{REST} The first auditions are at 9 p.m. today at Norfolk Live on Norfolk Naval Base. On Saturday, auditions are at 12:30 p.m. at the Indian River Family YMCA, 5660 Indian River Road, Virginia Beach, and at 7 p.m. at the Nsect Club, 1916 Armistead Ave., Hampton.

Teams should prepare a three-minute lip-synched, choreographed routine using an upbeat song currently playing on MTV. Each team must have three or five people who are between 17 and 25 years old. Bring a cassette of your song - no CDs, please.

Teams will be judged on performance, originality and sense of humor.
