JOHN R. FISH

{LEAD} John Richard Fish, 55, a mechanic, died June 21, 1994, in a Portsmouth hospital.

Mr. Fish was born in Grand Rapids, Mich., and was an Episcopalian. He was employed with the Norfolk Naval Shipyard.

{REST} Survivors include his wife, Shirley J. Fish of Goldsboro, N.C.; one daughter, Pat Hinson of Goldsboro; one son, William E. Fish of Portsmouth; his parents, John and Irene Sleeper Fish of Grand Rapids, Mich.; two sisters, Beverly Pridgeon of Grand Rapids and Patricia Pennington of Middleville, Mich.; one brother, Ronald A. Fish of Wyoming, Mich.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, Suffolk, by the Rev. Wayne Sawyer. The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today and at 103 Charles Ave., Apt. C, Portsmouth, at all other times.
