PARTY IS DISLOYAL ONE

{LEAD} Regarding state GOP Chairman Patrick M. McSweeney's rebuttal to columnist Guy Friddell (June 12):

Sen. John Warner and Marshall Coleman have not been disloyal to the Republican Party. The party has been disloyal to them!

{REST} Conservative Christian Republicans have pushed the party so far to the right that moderate and liberal Republicans from all over the state have been left out in the cold.

We should respect Warner and Coleman for taking a stand. I hope it will wake up the rest of the Virginia Republican Party.

A one-sided Republican Party is not in the best interests of all Virginians.

\ Regarding Don Feder's column, "Coming: the religion-free workplace, courtesy of Bill Clinton" (op-ed page, June 14):

I hope every member of every religious group in this country bombards our political leaders with letters protesting the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission's efforts to deny our right to freedom of religion.

What this organization is promising is outright religious persecution!
