HILDA V. LEWIS

{LEAD} Hilda Virginia Lewis, 70, of Havelock, N.C., and formerly of Norfolk, died June 23, 1994, in a Carteret hospital.

She was the daughter of the late Uriah Melvin and Mary Emma Fulcher Lewis and was born in Norfolk on April 6, 1924. Mrs. Lewis retired from civil service at Cherry Point Air Station as a procurement clerk.

{REST} She is survived by one sister, Sarah Elizabeth Lewis Perry of Newport, N.C.; one brother, Melvin Uriah Lewis of Manteo, N.C.; four nieces, Mary Gaskill Ross and Patsy Gaskill of Virginia Beach, Wanda Bobitt of Manteo and Nancy Perry of Anchorage, Alaska; and one nephew, George Perry of Atlanta.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Forest Lawn Cemetery with the Rev. Henry Napier officiating. The family will receive friends at Twiford Funeral Home, Ghent Chapel, Norfolk, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. At other times they will be at the home of a niece, Mrs. Mary Ross, 1848 Port Lyautey Drive, Virginia Beach.
