CI Travel, a division of Cruise International, opened an office in Greenbrier Mall, Chesapeake, its 28th location in Hampton Roads.
{REST} \ Dr. Wallace Handeland, a Virginia Beach optometrist, expanded his practice by establishing an office with Dr. Gordon S. Buchanan at 4219B Indian River Road in Chesapeake.
\ Hall Auto World, based in Virginia Beach, opened its first Hampton operation, Hall Isuzu, at 4810 W. Mercury Blvd. The dealership sells new and used Isuzu sport-utility vehicles and pickup trucks. Hall's former Newport News operation will now be a service and parts site for Isuzu. Hall Auto World operates nine dealerships with 17 franchises across the region.
\ CHARITY
Dragas Homes Inc. in Virginia Beach will build the Tidewater Builders Association's annual charity house for the 1994 Homearama housing showcase in Church Point, Virginia Beach.
The charity house will be named after the late Vincent Mastracco, the first member of the original Boys Club of Norfolk 75 years ago. Proceeds from the charity home's sale will go to the Boys and Girls Clubs of South Hampton Roads.

Goldman & Associates won the 1994 silver Telly award, introductory business category, for a business-to-business television commercial for Priority Health Care in Virginia Beach. About 9,000 contest entries were submitted throughout the country.
\ Robert A. Barr of Robert Barr Inc. in Virginia Beach won the Distinguished Achievement Award from the Society of Plastics Engineers for innovative work in the plastics industry. Barr, a mechanical engineer, has been involved in designing plastic machinery for 34 years. He holds several patents for his designs.
\ CONTRACTS
J.B. Denny Co. in Virginia Beach received a $9.8 million contract from the Army Corps of Engineers to build an automated supply training facility at Fort Lee.
\ W.B. Meredith II Inc. in Norfolk received a $4.6 million contract from the Army Corps of Engineers to build a beach-lodging facility and beach-recreation center.
\ Blueridge General Inc. in Norfolk received a $771,000 contract from NASA in Hampton to build a payload-fabrication and integration facility at Wallops Island on the Eastern Shore.
\ The Energy Service Group in Williamsburg received an $892,300 contract from NASA in Hampton to replace steam-ejector building 1247B at its Langley Research Center.
\ Commonwealth Construction Co. Inc. in Virginia Beach received a $998,436 contract from the city of Portsmouth for renovations to the Children's Museum of Virginia.
