STAY OUT

{LEAD} More than 100 years ago, this country engaged in a great Civil War in which nearly 500,000 men lost their lives.

In Northern Ireland, Catholics and Protestants have been killing each other for years.

{REST} The Balkan states have engaged in civil strife for centuries.

Russia and France have had numerous revolutions.

Hardly a country has been without a civil war.

Stop the war in Rwanda? Forget it! Let the Rwandans solve their own problems.

Should we invade Haiti? No way! We should teach the Haitian refugees to fight, supply them with arms and ammunition and send them back to Haiti to fight their own battles for freedom.

This country has no business interfering in the internal affairs of any other nation. That includes China and North Korea. Lord knows we have enough problems of our own to solve, and by solving them we can set an example for the rest of the world.
