DOROTHY M. ROBERTS

{LEAD} Dorothy Mae Roberts, 69, of the 200 block of Phillips Ave., died June 24, 1994, in her home.

Mrs. Roberts was born in Emporia, Va. She was a member of New Mount Vernon Baptist Church.

{REST} Survivors include her husband, Clement H. Roberts; seven daughters, Thelma Gordon and Jeanette Roberts, both of Chesapeake, Geraldine Muhammad, Vivian Gaskins, Shelia Taylor and Christine Peterson, all of Portsmouth, and Rhonda Pepper of Newport, R.I.; five sons, Nathaniel Roberts, Donald Roberts, Jerome Roberts, Shelton Roberts and Barry Roberts, all of Portsmouth; one sister, Ester Martin of East Orange, N.J.; one brother, Lonnie Davis Jr. of Portsmouth; 32 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three daughters-in-law; five sons-in-law; and other relatives.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in New Mount Vernon Baptist Church, Portsmouth, by the Rev. Vernon S. Lee. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Chesapeake. Viewing will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday in Corprew Funeral Home. The body will be taken to the church at 11 a.m. Friday.
