FRANCES I. RICHIE

{LEAD} Frances Inez Richie, 67, of 3100 Oklahoma Ave., a retired cashier, died June 28, 1994, in a Norfolk hospital.

Mrs. Richie was a native of Columbia, S.C., and a resident of Tidewater since 1945. She had retired from Colonial and BeLo stores.

{REST} Survivors include her loving husband, August James Richie; a stepdaughter, Stephanie Clausen and her husband, Paul, of Virginia Beach; a sister, Jeanette Smith and her husband, Bill, of Wildwood, Fla.; a brother, Frank P. Jennings Jr. and his wife, Fran, of Norfolk; a brother-in-law, Hubert E. Carter of LaVergne, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. J. Ewing Brown. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk, is handling arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
