JOHN W. YOUNG JR.

{LEAD} John William Young Jr., 75, a retired health club manager, died June 27, 1994, in a local hospital.

Mr. Young was born in Augusta, Ga. He was a member of Norview United Methodist Church and had retired from the Jewish Community Center.

{REST} Survivors include one daughter, Rose Marie Sartain of Virginia Beach; and five grandchildren, Kathryn Sartain of Norfolk, Scott Sartain of Portsmouth, David Sartain, Michael Sartain and Susan Sartain, all of Virginia Beach.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Norview United Methodist Church by the Rev. Alexander Yates. The family will receive friends at the home of Mrs. Rose Marie Sartain, 4200 Mill Stream Court, Virginia Beach, immediately following the memorial service. Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements.
