Mr. Cook was born in Moorefield, W.Va. and had served in the U.S. Army.
{REST} Survivors include his wife, Johda A. Cook; one daughter, Susan Keel of Chesapeake; two sons, Robert J. Cook Jr. of Portsmouth and Arnold Cook of Chesapeake; five sisters, Dorothy Cook and Grace Flannagan of Portsmouth, Juanita Schoolcraft of Chesapeake, Ida Miller and Ethel Cook of Moorefield, W.Va.; three brothers, Donald Cook of Franklin, Va., Charles Cook of Natural Bridge, Va. and Clyde Simmons of Moorefield; and five grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Paul Moore. The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today and at the residence at all other times.
