Col. Moore was born in Los Angeles and was a Christian. He was retired from the Marine Corps with 33 years of service. He was a member of Chapala Country Club and USMC Association.
{REST} Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Wheelwright Moore; three sons, Raymond L. Moore of Atlanta, Ronald W. Moore of Cincinnati and Robert C. Moore of Virginia Beach; and two sisters, Judy McKee of Carson, Wash., and Ginger Lumpkin of Tacoma, Wash.
A funeral will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Friday in Little Creek Amphibious Base Chapel by Chaplain Phil Holwager (Ret.). Burial will be in Quantico National Cemetery. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel, is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
