The Parks and Recreation Department has been awarded a $42,847 Urban Park and Recreation Recovery grant to continue rehabilitation of the Neighborhood Facility Recreation Center on Elm Avenue.
The money will be used to complete renovations to the second floor of the facility, which includes a makeover of all the recreation rooms. In the first phase of the rehabilitation project, the gymnasium, bathrooms and roof were overhauled.
