SUMMERTIME BLUES? KIDS SHOUT 'EM OUT

MOMS, BROTHERS and dogs were on the hit list this week, when Back Talk callers answered the question, ``Who was the last person you yelled at?''

Here are some comments:

``I yelled at my mom yesterday because my friend accidentally got me in trouble at the mall. Now we can't go back to the mall for 30 days. So I yelled at my mom and told her it wasn't my fault and it wasn't a big deal.'' Christy Phillips, 12, Larkspur Middle School, rising seventh-grader

``I just got done yelling at my mom. When I got my report card, she was yelling and I was yelling because of my grades. I said `I don't want to hear it.' It wasn't anything bad.'' April Ferro, 13, Tallwood High School, rising freshman

``I yelled at my mom because she only gave me $2 and I wanted more than that. My brother got more than me.'' Jennifer Engle, 11, Kempsville Middle School, rising seventh-grader

``The last person I yelled at was my brother because he never picks up anything and I have to do it all. Everyone says, `You're going to hate being married because you'll have to pick up after your husband,' and I say, `Why? I'm already used to it. I have to pick up after my brother.' What difference does it make?'' Kristie Davis, 14, Churchland High School, rising freshman

``The last person I yelled at was my dog, Alfreida, because she stole a piece of pizza off my plate. But we kissed and made up.'' Kayce Barnes, 12, Princess Anne Middle School, rising seventh-grader by CNB
