CHARLES D. KNISELY

Charles Darvin ``Pete'' Knisely, 76, of the 500 block of Woodgrove Court, a retired planner and estimator, died June 30, 1994, in a Norfolk hospital.

Mr. Knisely was born in Altoona, Pa., and was retired from the Naval Air Station, Norfolk, after 30 years of service. He was a member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church, Virginia Beach. He was a 32nd degree Mason affiliated with Norview Masonic Lodge (NU)113, AF & AM, where he was awarded 1994 Mason of the Year. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Thelma R. Knisely; one son, David C. Knisely of Virginia Beach; one sister, Dorothy Hainsey of Queen, Pa.; two brothers, George W. Knisely of Portsmouth and John W. Knisely of Mechanicsburg, Pa.; and two grandchildren, John P. Knisely and Susanne E. Knisely, both of Virginia Beach.

A funeral will be conducted at 7p.m. Saturday in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, by the Rev. Robert Hobson. Friends may join the family at the funeral home for visitation from 7 to 9 p.m. today. A Masonic service will be conducted at 8:30 p.m. today.
