Peggy Lee Brittain Brooks, 59, of the 1700 block of Everest Circle, died Wednesday, June 29, 1994, in the Medical College of Virginia Hospital.
She was born on Feb. 6, 1935, in Rutherfordton, N.C., a daughter of Jessie Nivens Brittain Mathis and the late John B. Brittain.
Survivors in addition to her mother of Forest City, N.C., are her husband, Gerald B. Brooks; three sons, Michael K. Brooks and John B. Brooks, both of Staunton, Va., and Andrew T. Brooks of Waynesboro, Va.; a daughter, DeChantel Brooks Spears of Staunton; three sisters, Wilma Holliday of Naples, Fla., Bobbie Tate of Pascagoula, Miss., and Ethel Hipps of Norfolk; and a grandchild.
A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Henry Funeral Home Chapel, Staunton. Burial will follow in Thornrose Cemetery. It is suggested that those desiring may make memorial donations to the Medical College of Virginia, Foundation of Liver Transplant Fund, P.O. Box 980234, Richmond, Va. 23298-0234.
