Samuel Joseph Wilson Jr., 78, of the 300 block of North Shore Road, died June 30, 1994, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mr. Wilson was born in Boykins, Va., and was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church and the Wesleyman Bible Class. He was retired as an insurance salesman after 30 years and was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Frances ``Tess'' B. Wilson; two daughters, Margaret ``Peggy'' N. Mackey of Norfolk and Frances ``Frankie'' C. Perelson of Marin County, Calif.; one son, U.S. Judge Samuel G. Wilson of Roanoke, Va.; one half-sister, Maris V. Turner of Norfolk; one brother, Elmo D. Wilson of Virginia Beach; and six grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Cox Funeral Home by Dr. W. Emmett M. Diggs. A graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Onancock Cemetery, Onancock, Va. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to a charity of choice.
