MAN CHARGED IN SHOOTING

Police have charged a 38-year-old man in a shooting that left a Norfolk man critically wounded Wednesday evening.

Dean Brauer Jr. of the 1600 block of E. Ocean View Ave. has been charged with malicious wounding and use of a firearm while committing a felony, according to police spokesman Larry Hill.

Joseph E. Lord, 54, also of the 1600 block of E. Ocean View Ave., was shot and critically wounded during an argument with Brauer at 7:24 p.m., police said.

Lord was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where he was listed in critical but stable condition Wednesday night, Hill said.
