FULFILLING A PROMISE

The past 12 years were trying indeed as we witnessed state government decline into inefficiencies largely attributable to waste and bureaucratic mismanagement. Major responsibility lies with the Democrat-appointed agency heads and commissioners.

Governor Allen, elected with a mandate to bring about positive and honest changes that he talked about during his campaign, has lived up to his promises. Those of us in government haven't seen such positive actions in years.

Party affiliation has little to do with replacing these career bureaucrats. Rather, Governor Allen must have in place those who share his vision and principles if he is to eliminate waste and mismanagement.

No one promised streamlining would be painless, but I am grateful to see Governor Allen keep his word.
