Citizens of Virginia Beach are to conserve water by washing their cars with a bucket instead of a hose, letting their lawn and shrubbery burn to a crisp and flushing their commodes once a ay. This encourages the public to back funding for the Lake Gaston program.
Meanwhile, the city is encouraging development of a golf course for Bayville Farms serving a total of 350 individuals. This course is expected to use 42,000 gallons of groundwater per day. Let's see . . . yep, my calculator says that totals 15 million gallons of water per year for 350 golfers.
There are 40 founding members to date. Hit up the 310 Richmond lawyers getting rich from legal fees for Lake Gaston appeals, and you're in business. They can probably pay the $30,000 membership fee from the Lake Gaston expense fund.
What will the city think of next? I know - Corporate Landing II.
