Marion Agnes Butcher, 70, of the 1900 block of Ames Circle W., a retired administrative assistant, died June 30, 1994, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mrs. Butcher was retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard after 28 years. She was a member of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, Portsmouth; a charter member of the Trio Chapter (NU)544 Order of Eastern Star, Mechanicsburg, Pa.; and a member of Women of the Moose (NU)898, Chesapeake.
Survivors include her husband, Gearld J. Butcher; two sons, Scott Lee Butcher of Portsmouth and Dennis Alan Butcher of Chesapeake; a daughter-in-law, Beth Butcher of Portsmouth; and a granddaughter, Caitlin Butcher of Portsmouth.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Loving Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, by the Rev. William H. Batterman. Entombment will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.
