Bessie Mae Page, 86, died June 30, 1994, in Asheville.
Mrs. Page was a native of Cerro Gordo, N.C., and was the wife of the late Franklin D. Page, who died in 1959. She was a member of Great Bridge Baptist Church, Chesapeake.
Survivors include five daughters, Joyce Edenton of Fredericksburg, Va., Ruby Sawyer of Chesapeake, Geraldine Ferebee and Virginia Johnson, both of Mays Landing, N.J., Jean Johnson of Danbury, Conn.; two sons, Franklin D. Page Jr. and Richard Alan Page, both of Asheville; four sisters; one brother; 35 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Ronald Eason. The family will be at 516 Forest Road, Chesapeake. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, Norfolk, is handling arrangements.
