The School Board on Friday re-elected J. Thomas Benn III chairman, and James E. Bridgeford vice chairman.
Benn and Bridgeford were reappointed to their seats on the board by City Council this week.
The board also welcomed a new member, Ray A. Smith Sr.
Smith replaces Ralph W. Buxton, who could not seek reappointment because he already had served two consecutive three-year appointments.
